Rich Baker is … Doing this for a few reasons:

The most important one is the love I have for my family. I have a beautiful wife, Michelle, who outside of salvation, is the greatest gift I have received.  Without her I am not here. I have a son given to me named Jedidiah. He is 2 ½ and is one of the greatest love and joys of my life. As a husband and father, it is my obligation to help them understand what they are being told or shown in movies and television as well as understand the influence they have on the people and culture around us.

Another reason is I really do love movies. I guess it is better stated that I love story. I believe that we experience everything as though it were real. Everything we take in from these are experiences that affect us in many ways. I enjoy seeing situations on screen that I would otherwise have no other way to experience (such as a global flood or an alien invasion) if it were not for these movies. It helps to open the mind to seeing this life in a bigger way. So, if that is so, in what other ways are they influencing our minds and our souls?

Lastly, I love my brother Mike. He has been a great friend as I recover from serious hardships. He is a man who loves our Kingdom and its people. I respect his great love for Jesus and the scriptures that we have been given. We also enjoy talking, at great length, about the messages of these movies and what implications they might have on us and this world. If Mike and I were to be compared to some of these characters, this is what that might be like: Mike as Bruce Banner and I as the Hulk! He as Han solo and I as Chewbacca! I would be Pinky and he would be the Brain. What will we do tonight you ask?… The same thing we do every night. Try to take over the world!!

As far as credentials… I am a sinner saved by grace who is grateful to be a part of a family and a Kingdom. I Love our brothers and sisters and want them to see the messages of these movies for what they are, good or bad.

Love the podcast and all the info .While listening to the Cinematic Theology #1 ,my mind went to Technocracy – Patrick Wood . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ul5oQ3wbstQ

It’s amazing at the threads of thought’s in movies , comic books, and powers behind the scenes changing our world view . It’s nearly impossible not to bump into the narratives . In the vid I linked ,I think you will see how they will or at least try to bring about their NWO .

Keep up the good work .
